I see your true colors shining through

The characters in the story seem to have two different “sides” or personalities. Throughout the story, Karl continued to change more and more. Discuss how both stress and greed changed Karl. Was he spinning out of control? Was the author making an example out of him? What is the author trying to say about human nature?

At first Karl was just angry, lazy, and nervous. But when he thought about how much wealth and power he could have with Sir Ironsoul he became greedy and evil. He was spinning out of control because he wanted to murder people for their money. I think the author was making an example out of Karl for temptation. And what can happen to you if you give into it. Also that everyone is greedy sometimes and we are always trying to find "the easy way out" and sometimes its not always the best.
